Snapping Guides to Polygon doesn't seem to work correctly?

Hello all,

i can only snap my guides to the upper 3 edges of a 5 edge polygon. I made a video to demonstrate it. Am i missing something or is that a bug?

Hi @Yodel,

This is possibly occurring because the guides can only snap to the corners which are on the edges of the bounding box, the bottom 2 edges on the shape are within the object's bounding box, so the guides will not snap to them.

If you convert the Polygon to curves and then select the node tool, you can then snap the guides to all 5 edges, i've demonstrated this in the attached screen recording.

Thank you very much Nathan. Unfortunately the node tool is not able to adjust the guides, but placing them does work

You can use the Node Tool to drag out new guides like in the video by @NathanC and adjust them using that tool if you drag on their markers in the Ruler instead of dragging on the canvas.

I can’t view the video on my iPad Air 2. Was it perhaps recorded in 4K rather than 1080p?

It appears so. Dimensions of the mov file are 4096 × 2155; codec is H264.
