TheGreenHand Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 I've been printing labels on semi Matt paper using publisher for the last two days with no huge issues. This morning I switched to gloss paper and the colours were very dull in comparison, so I watched a tutorial and tried to increase vibrancy in affinity photo. Tried to print again and a message came up that said elements of this image are not pixel based. So deleted the file and tried to print the original in publisher again. Now when I try to print nothing happens. It shows prints in the queue which I've cleared but it's like it's no longer communicating. Does anyone have a fix please? Quote
TheGreenHand Posted July 3, 2022 Author Posted July 3, 2022 To add to this I've just tried a different publishing app and it's printed first time so I'm fairly sure it's not a driver issue. Quote

Is APub still able to send print jobs to this queue? – If not, is the according printer still selected in APub's print dialog window? – Does the file get printed from APub to another printer? How about print as PDF (–> bottom left corner of the dialog window), e.g. to the Preview.app? TheGreenHand Posted July 3, 2022 Author Posted July 3, 2022 Hi @thomaso you're the main man for answering questions. All the settings were the same print to PDF, present in apub. I think it must be a glitch of some sort as I've gone full dinosaur and switched it off and back on again and now it's working again. I wish I knew why that happened. It's very confusing. Sorry for the random dumb questions I'll be asking over the coming weeks, I'm sure I'll get used to this eventually. Necessity may well be the mother of education in my case. Quote

When it comes to computer usage issues there is rarely a lack of need, is there? – I prefer an Asian proverb as friendly aunty and mother's sister: "We have little time, we must proceed slowly." TheGreenHand Posted July 3, 2022 Author Posted July 3, 2022 In my case I'm not a designer or packaging guy, I sell fertilizers and microbes and my packaging guy emigrated. I'm trying to learn all these new things with no prior experience and get my products on shelves with very little time to learn. At least once I have learned what I need to it will be easier to do. It is proving very interesting though. Something I wish I had more time to explore. Quote
