vishalsignap
Hi friends, I was creating a thesis report with Table of Contents , Table of Figures & Table of Tables. After much struggle, I was able to work around the table of contents part. However, for Table of Figures, it showed only 2 figures out of more than 100 figures in my document; the same for table of tables. I've selected the right paragraph style and everything else but still its not working. Does anyone has an experience of working on table of figures and also ways to cross-reference figures as one can do it in Indesign. Can someone please help me resolve this at earliest as I have a deadline to submit the report very soon. If anyone could kindly volunteer to guide me on my screen at your convenience, that will be a of great help. thanks I'm attaching my Affinity Publisher file here.... GarryP
Is this the same issue you have posted about elsewhere?https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/164561-table-of-contents-table-of-figures-table-of-tables/ If so, since you don’t know it’s actually a bug, there’s no reason yet to post about it being a bug. Posting the same issue in two different places only makes it more difficult for people to help you as the responses will be split between multiple threads and people might not be able to see what other people have said. Dan C
Hi @vishalsignap, Sorry to hear you're having trouble! I can confirm the Table of Figures is not working currently due to a bug affecting text inside a 'pinned' group. As can be seen on Page 5, the text for 'Figure 3' is it's own text layer which is not grouped, which is why the TOC detects it. However the Figure 2 text is within a 'pinned' group, and the above bug then stops the TOC from detecting the text. To workaround this, please move these text frames from out of this group and update your TOC & you should then see these are listed. This bug is already logged with our developers, so I will 'bump' this with them now. I hope this helps!
vishalsignap
Thanks, I figured it out as the same problem as mentioned by you. I won't say its a bug, but if you'll think its a bug, please report to the software guys. thanks
