NotMyFault Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Hi, it would be great to get a history of all crop actions totally separated from other history records. the idea is to be able to re-apply any older crop, without undoing any other actions. this is often required e.g. pasting new layers from other documents or sources, which need to be aligned to the original crop, but a different crop has been applied, e.g. rotated to straighten horizon. walt.farrell Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Given that a Crop in Photo applies to the entire document, not to a Layer, I'm curious how often you have multiple previous Crops in a document, that you would need a list of them. Also, you mention pasting a layer where a different crop has been applied, and it seems like that is the document whose saved crop you would need to "undo", not reapply? Having said that, perhaps even better would be the ability to select an item in the History, and re-apply it at the current level. That would be usable for cropping, or anything else that you might find you need to do again. A record of crops needs only a few bytes to store the size / rotation / starting point. Re-applying other operations could be far more complex, including unknown / unlimited space for layer content.
