wstewl Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Somehow, I made a mistake in the flow of pages in a book I am assembling for someone. A page flow error occurred, when a poem page was inserted and now the next page, which is a new chapter, is linked BACK to the poem page, and I can not get the text for that chapter to appear on that page. The poem page is linked to the page AFTER the new chapter. I don't know to repair this page flow linking problem. Can someone help? Quote
thomaso Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 To fix the text flow across these 4 pages you could move pages in the Pages Panel, here the "Chapter 10" page before the "Poem" page. If the content should not become switched this way then copy/paste the content afterwards as wanted. For additional required pages in a document with existing text flow it can be less confusing not to insert pages but to add pages at the end of the document to maintain the text flow + place new content on the desired pages. This might require to reassign master pages as wanted (using the options Replace | Clear | Migrate). For empty pages, temporarily or durable, you can use page breaks (menu Text > Insert > Breaks > … ). An alternative workflow to fix a confused text flow across pages would be to click the text flow icons (left: in | right: out) and reassign the flow this way.
