Allow users to determine the cutoff percentage of transparent pixels used when selecting from a layer.

Recommended Posts

I had assumed that when creating a selection from layer all pixels would be selected …wrong!

Affinity Photo determines which pixels will be selected based on their transparency.

This is problematic for me, one reason I use this menu option is to determine the size of the layer to cleanup semitransparent pixels, but at present it fails.

Please allow users to set the pixel range which will be used with a slider from completely opaque to 1 % transparent. Like many issues, there are many ways and workarounds to achieve the same result but the ease of accomplishing these tasks can make or break an application.

Affinity products are a great alternative to Adobe, I hope they will continue to pressure Adobe in producing great cost effective solutions for 95% of users to make great digital art.
