Publisher - Can I adjust the layers that are active in linked Affinity Photo files?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am using Publisher to make a presentation and one of the files I link into the presentation was made in Affinity Photo.

I know from Indesign that I could adjust the layers for linked files, is this also possible with Publisher and linked Photo files?

If you select the file's layer in the Layers panel in Publisher, using the Move Tool, you may see Edit Document or Edit Image in the Context Toolbar. Whether you are it or not will friend on what kind of linked file it is.

Click that and you'll be editing the original file, but you'll still be in Publisher. You can do some kind of adjustments in the Publisher Persona, and others in the Photo Persona. When you Save the file you'll update the original, and then when you have Publisher Update the linked file you'll see the changes in Publisher, too.

Allright, that's good to know. So this means that if I have 5 layer groups that I want to show separately, I need to export them out individually?

For context, I have several design sketches with no mutual correspondence, other than a common base layer that I used as reference.

Or Embed the file 5 times rather than Linking.
