UI - Improve dragging to the left to decrease a brush's width

I like that I can drag on the text for width to resize my brush. But since its aligned to the left hand side of the screen, it is not possible for me to reduce the brush width, as I cannot drag towards the left. Perhaps other checkbox settings could be moved to the left of the width setting or it could have an empty margin that can be used to drag over.

I can reduce the brush width in that fashion but only by a small amount.
Multiple drags to the left allow me to reduce it to the minimum value.
A large drag to the right leaves me with a value which requires more drags to the left to reduce it again.

This isn’t an ideal situation but there’s always the slider to drag instead, or using the mouse scroll wheel over the value, if a mouse scroll wheel is available (with modifier keys if required).

I don’t think it would be a good idea to put (perhaps) less-frequently-used check boxes to the left of the Width field, but it might be nice if we could drag to beyond the screen’s extent in this case.

Have you tried dragging down instead? ears.gif

Actually, that's a better idea, but that only works for mice.

With a pen tablet that's mapped to the screen position, I don't think this works well.

Dragging up/down, in the Windows versions of the software, can reduce or increase the value but only when the mouse pointer also moves to the left/right.

Shift-Drag left/right makes the value change more rapidly so that’s maybe an option in the shorter term.

Also, one can give up a bit of window width and position the window further right on the screen :)
