While working with the clone tool, it cut a hole in my image. All I did was hover. I tried Undo, but all that did was undo the clones that I did before this happened. The hole remained.

  1. Are you using the latest release version? Yes
  2. Can you reproduce it? No
  3. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? It only just happened this once time.

  •    What is your operating system and version Mac Monterey 12.4
  •    Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) ON
  •    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers. No
  •    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware) Nothing changed.

@Curiously Strong Welcome to the forums.

It's not something I can currently replicate on my system. Is this the only layer in your document or do you have any adjustment or filter layers as Hardware Acceleration can cause a few render issues and small glitches.

Have you tried turning off Hardware Acceleration (Metal Compute) in the apps Preferences > Performance to see if this makes any difference?
