Safe printer settings

I am trying the effects of the various settings in the printer menu (Ctrl P). But when I like to skip back (cancel) to the document (photo) for a moment, all previous print choices have gone. The only buttons here are OK (which starts printing and saves the settings) and cancel (that closes the menu without saving the settings).

 

Is there a way to safe the setting without printing?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Morsk.

In your screenshot of the Print dialog, near the top and next to the Profile pulldown that currently says Custom, you'll see a Save As... button. If you click that, you can save your current settings for later reuse. Then, later, just click on the Profile pulldown, and select the profile you saved.

I had perceived this as a button to store a final setting, with an appropriate name. But yes, can be used for “trial” as well. Thanks.
