I found the time to upgrade to 1.10.5.  I downloaded and started it up and it's demandiong my product key.

I have been using AP for years, but have no record of an email with the product key.

This page doesn't help showing nothing more than a trial version from 05/05/2022.  I was using AP yesteray and every day for the past month.

Where do I find my product key?

Hi @Stolzy

If you purchased through the Affinity Store, you can log into your account, select the 'Your Account' menu icon in the top right corner then select 'Downloads & product keys'.

Under this list you will be able to find any product keys for past purchases.

If you are still having issues after this can you send us an email to affinitysupport@serif.com and please advise in the email of the affinity store account the app was purchased through.

Your product key can be found in your account  - the account you created when you purchased the software.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

These are not my own words but I sure like this quote.

If you purchased from the Mac App Store, or from the Microsoft Store, you don't have a Product Key, and you would need to update through the Store you purchased from.

As I said, there's nothing listed, just the following

  • 20 Fog Overlays by Paper Farms
  • 60 Snow Overlays by Paper Farms
  • 35 Rainbow Overlays by Paper Farms
  • 20 Rain Overlays by Paper Farms

None of which I have ever purchased or downloaded

and:

  • Affinity Photo Trial macOS - Version 1.10.5

Downloaded 05/05/05.

like I said I've been using AP for years

Mac version purchased from Serif directly.

Originally (years ago) the Mac version was only available from the Mac App Store. So, if you've had it a real long time then you may not have purchased from Serif.

In any case, if it's not showing up in your Affinity Store account there are only two likely reasons:

1. You have multiple accounts at the Affinity Store.

or

2. You purchased from Apple, not Serif.

A quick way to tell if it was purchased from the Mac App Store is to open the current version & in the Mac menu named for the app (Like "Affinity Designer" for AD) look for a "Check for Updates" menu item. If it not there then the app was purchased from the Mac App Store, not the Affinity Store.
