Trouble selecting text when adjusting Leading Override and Baseline

When I add large paragraphs of text and adjust the baseline or leading override using the formatting pane, It is difficult to select text.

Let's say I write a paragraph with five lines of text. If I use either of the formatting options to push the lines closer together, meaning line 2-5 are placed closer to line 1 than they originally were, I will still have to highlight the text on line five at the position it was originally at before pushing the lines closer together.

I hope this can be solved.
