make changing the checkered background colour possible

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Please make changing the checkered background colour also possible. The current checkered background colour is too bight or too contrast with the darkest artboard background available. I know a workaround for this like using solid colour rectangle in order to cover the checkered background, but this workaround won't take effect in outline view which I always use when I draw.

... or Transparency off in Document setup, or set Fill color to Artboard.

As another possible workaround, do you have to have the Artboard background color that black? Perhaps if you lightened it slightly, the contrast would be better.

Also, are you sure you don't have the brightness or contrast of your monitor adjusted too high for the lighting levels in your room?

I agree it would be nice to be able to change the checkerboard, but realistically that won't happen for awhile, if ever, so investigating workarounds is also worthwhile.

Yes, My eyes get tired easily if I work in a bright room.

I adjusted my monitor's setting to "Contrast -> 12%" and Brightness "7%"

- Fill color to artboard

- Fill color using rectangular shape

All work great, but unfortunately they don't take effect in Outline View. Those fill colors will be hidden too and the checkered artboard becomes visible once again.

Yes, but if with it background transparency is turned off, so in Outline View Mode the background is white and the outline lines are black - what could be more visible?
