marketingmedic Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Hey folks. I'm using Affinity Photo 1:10.5. I just recently updated. I was using 1.8 previously and was hesitant to update because that program always worked flawlessly for me. I'm also on Windows 10. Basically, I have pasted an image onto my field and now I can't move it, delete it, or do anything with it. Here's a video showing exactly what's happening. Hope you can help.
marketingmedic Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 Just for fun I exported the timer image as a .jpg hoping that might help. But no.
carl123 Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Can you save and upload that document to the forum after you've copied the timer png to it? This may be the quickest way to investigate the issue To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
Dan C Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Hi @marketingmedic, Many thanks for your screen recording and I'm sorry to see you're having trouble! I can see right at the start of the recording you have a Pixel Selection active, as can be seen from the 'marching ants' around the Pixel layer that you have selected in the Layers Studio. This active Pixel Selection is the reason that both the layer cannot be deleted, and the newly pasted layer is acting in this way. Please navigate to Select > Deselect to clear any active Pixel Selection, then try deleting this Pixel layer or pasting the image in once again. Does this now work as expected please?
marketingmedic Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 Woo Hoo. Deselecting worked! Thanks so much. Dan C 1
