NunoF Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Hey I am trying to create a story where I use two photos and my goal is that the top one appears up to the white bar, from left to right, and the bottom one also appears from one side to the other up to the white bar. However, because the white bar is not horizontal, I always see part of each image in the "wrong side" Hope I am being clear 😳 Follows an example. In this example I am using two shapes instead of the photo...but basically the top blue shape represents the top photo and the bottom yellow shape represents the bottom photo... I have tried a bunch of things but could not do it...in Firewokrks I remember there was a "slice" feature...long ago...I was looking for something like that... Any suggestions? Thank you Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 When asking for help it is best if you mention the application. I use Designer for this example but it could be done the same way in Photo or Publisher. Use a Curve layer to crop one of the photos, the uppermost one in the Layers panel. I used the Pen tool to draw the Curve, please note that the curve must have a fill in order to actually do the clip, and a stroke on the curve will be added to the area. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
thomaso Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Or use the Vector Crop Tool* –> do basic clipping –> click "Convert to Curve" –> and move one node with the Node Tool.*It auto-generates the initial clipping object / its shortcut key 'C' lets you toggle between Vector and Move Tool Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6
