Can't find the main interface or my project. Help!

Recommended Posts

I just got the Publisher software a few days ago.  I started my first project yesterday and laid out the first few pages of a book.  I saved the document to my desktop.

Today, I clicked on the icon on the desktop to open it and continue, but I get the message, "There is no application set to open the document (document name)".  If I created this document using the downloaded software from Affinity, how is there no way to open it now?

Next problem:  I signed into Affinity Publisher in hopes I'd find the interface and the document there to open and continue working.  However, when I signed in, all I get is the main page extolling all its features and it has the button to "BUY NOW".  I see no way or place to access the interface where I can continue working.  How do I get back to the interface?  I have looked and looked and can find nothing.

It was downloaded, as far as I know, onto my desktop.  There was an Affinity Icon in the middle of my desktop last night when I shut down for the day, but today it was not there.  There is no Affinity software icon for me to click on.

When I go to the Affinity website and sign in, shouldn't it take me to the interface?  That seems logical to me, but it's not happening.  I'm lost.

No, the website has nothing to do with launching (running) the app. The app has to be downloaded & installed. How that is done depends on the Store you bought it from, something you never mentioned.
