In my document I can't seem to make the baseline grid work. I switched the baseline grid on but the text does not align to it. I have no idea why it's not working. It's also not working when I set up a new document. Is there any setting that I need to change?

I'm on Publisher version 1.10.5

OMG yes that's it! Thank you so much!! 🥳 I didn't even find this setting before... That didn't even occur to me since there is no style applied to said text frame/paragraph.

There is always a style applied – no style, no text 😉

Regardless of whether there is a saved style from the Text Styles panel assigned, the current style properties always are displayed in the Character / the Paragraph panel, too:

So, also [No style] has its definition (Arial regular, 12 pt, …). You can change this default in a 2-step procedure via the menu Edit > Defaults. With text frame selected first choose "synchronise", then "save":

Ah good to know. Thank you so much for this additional info. That's really neat, cause this wasn't talked about in the official Tutorial about the baseline grid. Awesome! 🥳
