hirschi Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 I have read your help instructions on how to publish a PDF. I get to step 3 (File > Export > Select PDF format) I've then chosen several different preset options and none of them show me any options for export (i.e. set raster DPI, check preview, whether or not to include hyperlinks, etc.). I can only save the file as though it were any other format. Either your help instructions are incorrect or .... ? Also, I have opened the Hyperlinks Panel because I wanted to remove some hyperlink URL's. Again I read your instructions and they aren't helpful to me because I cannot see any URL's in the panel. I tried selecting the linked text and double-clicking on it and nothing happens. HarnerM-Shamanic Healing-Not Alone.afpub Quote

The OP also asked about the inclusion of hyperlinks etc, "options for export (i.e. set raster DPI, check preview, whether or not to include hyperlinks, etc.)." hence my mentioning using the "More.." button! (It's also handy to check what is included, or not, in the various "flavours" of PDFs!) Yes, but then I would mention your information of the More button as a reaction to the bold text, not as a reaction to the whole sentence of the query, in the context of which the More button is rather confusing. Or I would at least indicate by highlighting / bolding which part it concerns. Mentioning that more, "hidden", options are available seems quite reasonable, however, as you clearly have a problem with my trying to help with additional information I'll gladly remove my post! Staff DWright Posted June 8, 2022 Staff Posted June 8, 2022 Hi @hirschi, If you click the More button in the PDF export screen you will then have access to the advanced options for the PDF export as shown in the following screen shot. You are not seeing any hyperlinks in the Hyperlinks Studio because your document does not contain any inserted hyperlinks in the text spreads. Quote

BTW, since all 9 pages of your document have that same frame text & a page number you could simplify this by putting both items on a Master page & applying that to all 9 pages, like in this HarnerM links & master.afpub example. You would then not need to add those items to each page separately. How did you create that document? Did you prepare it by hand, did you Open a PDF file, or import (Place, copy/paste) a .docx file, or something else? With any of those methods, I don't think there will be any Hyperlinks unless you add them manually. Just guessing, but from the way the underline below the "shamanism.org" text in the OP's document is a separate curve (a straight line) I suspect it was not imported or placed. hirschi Posted June 9, 2022 Author Posted June 9, 2022 Thanks everybody for your help! Much appreciated and I have now been able to accomplish what I was after. For some odd reason when I posted this I did not see a link to More when exporting to PDF but now I do. Weird. Quote
