Did you looked under the MacOS SystemPreferences, there under "disk access" & "files and folders", if the Affinity apps are listed and may need to be given the rights to do so (settings probably have to be enables there)?

If you could try allowing the applications access to files and folders as above, that should resolve your issue, please let us know if the issue persists after allowing access.
