I'm trying to create printable files and I just can't get it right. I even tried using the pixel to cm converter and it doesn't work.

I want to save files in size that matches up later on. Especially when I upload it to my Cricut program.

What do I do wrong?

For example:

The file  I created is 382x534.9px (the image only)

When I try to save it (selection area only) it's saying me 383x536

And when I upload it to my Cricut program it is way smaller than the same size SVG file.

I just want these 2 different files have the measurements I save them. ( I save them separately)

What are the exact setting to get it right? (For SVG I actually have to use specific settings)

And yes, I need it to be in PNG file format since it needs to be printed.

Position (X, Y) and size (W, H) is whole pixel? (without decimal part).

Hello and welcome!

Not sure I entirely understood how your workflow looks like here in terms of SVG and PNG.

AFAI understood it, you create a 382x534.9 px file and on export it's dimensions are rounded up by Affinity to the integer pixel values you've shown. But you want instead 382x535px for your image here  and thus ...

  • 382x534.9 px --> round to 382x535 px

... instead of a rounding plus one +1 pixel addition to ...

  • 382x534.9 px --> rounds to 382x535 px

... on export? - How did you created the document, with what dimensions?

For example if I create a doc with exactly 382x534.9 px ...

sample-png.jpg.53382cbbf829dd8d1049f0753c840e59.jpg

and export that as PNG, it will be created with those pixel dimensions setup and shown above on the PNG export panel...

test-png.png.e70604ab5552ba256364e1c745f137ca.png

In your document you might want to check via the transform panel of what size the selected objects are then! - In your case Affinity's rounding probably adds an additional pixel to the dimension due to the selection bounding box then, if you export via the selection area only.

For your Cricut program and it's shown up dimensioning, the setup document DPI size used in Affinity in contrast to the Cricut there might play a role here.

Yes, because the PNG file is like 2x smaller in Cricut but the SVG is always exactly the same size. I just want them to be in one and the size.

This is just a guess here, probably that Cricut app uses or expects a different DPI resolution for PNG images then.

Currently Cricut Design Space supports the following file types - jpeg, png, gif, bmp, svg and dxf. Most of your images will probably be jpeg or png. You'll want to make sure your picture is high quality, 300 dpi or better, to make sure you get a clear print.

So you may want to try to setup & export from Affinity a print document setup with 300 DPI.

I can't if I wanna sell the printable files. This specific one has to match up with the SVG one.
So I guess I'd really have to manually size it?

Not sure what you mean here, since for a 382x534.9 px Affinity document when exported as an 382x535 px SVG & PNG ...

... the exported SVG and PNG then already have the same initial default size! - Everything else might then be more a problem of that Cricut software!
