mieze Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 i installed the Gmic plugin but affinity doesnt see it? its in the correct folder ans i restarted afinity as wel aas the whole PC several times now... Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. The G'mic plugin certainly works, at least on Windows, so if it's not working for you the most obvious possibilities are that you don't have it in the right spot, you haven't allowed unknown plug-ins to be used, or you don't have an appropriate image Opened and an appropriate layer selected. Stephen Coyle Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I have exactly the same problem - was there any resolution to this? Quote
Stephen Coyle Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 No worries - got it to work. Had to close and restart twice! Quote
Christine777 Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I also have this problem. I've tried a couple different plugins, nothing shows after several restarts. Quote
EBackhoff Posted March 25 Posted March 25 In the past, I did not have any problems using the GMIC as an Affinity plug-in. But the new version of Affinity 2.6, does not recognize the new GMIC (3.5) Quote
Komatös Posted March 25 Posted March 25 7 hours ago, EBackhoff said: But the new version of Affinity 2.6, does not recognize the new GMIC (3.5) Welcome to the forums! The question is, which version did you download? GmicPlugin_arm64_win11.zip is neither recognised by Windows 11 ARM (in a VM) nor by Windows x86_64. GmicPlugin_x64.zip is recognised in both Windows versions, but only works on x86 PC Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.5 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9060 XT 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.4351) Windows 11 Pro on VMWare Virtual Machine (on Mac) Affinity Suite V 2.6.3 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution? PaulEC Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Just checking you're downloading the correct version and about how you're trying to install the plug in. You download the zip file. You unzip it and you put that unzipped folder in the default Photoshop Plugins Folder? (IOW you're not just putting the 8bf file in there.) This is the file to download: https://gmic.eu/download.html Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2 (As I am a Windows user, any answers/comments I contribute may not apply to Mac or iPad.)
