AntiqueFlaneur Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 I'm trying to get the picture frame and text box/caption around this picture to match in thickness. As far as I can tell, but are set to a stroke size of 1.5. But you can see that the picture frame's outline looks darker than the caption. How do I get them to match up? pbasdf Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 To adjust the stroke for the border of the text frame, use the Text Frame panel (on the left hand side of your screenshot). It currently shows 1pt (though it's unclear whether that relates to the caption box in question). Note that if you use the Stroke panel when you have a text frame highlighted, it will add/adjust the stroke for the text itself, not the text frame border. It looks like your caption text might have a stroke - it seems slightly heavier weight than the other text. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Though no object is selected they both seem to be your most recently used settings. – Note, the Stroke Panel is used for borders of many object types, just not for text frames (but for their text). R C-R Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 I'm not sure what you are looking for but in your FrameThickness.afpub file the top two items are frm the Chapter Ten Master page (one on page 2 & one on page 3). They are set to use 10pt text. The caption text below the picture frame is set to use 8 pt text. None of them have a stroke applied to the text.... I'm talking about the thickness of the outline of the picture frame and the fig. 90 caption. The outlines of the frame seem thicker than the outline of the caption, though they both are set for 1.5 stroke, as far as I can tell. The text itself is fine.
