Gaunilo Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 I noticed a strange error in the use of small caps. if you select a word, use small caps (Kapitälchen) and copy – paste the word, there is an additional space added when inserting. This is strange and I almost overlooked it. I made a short video. The second part concerns superscript numbers and have already been answered in a different forum. Thanks a lot! Herbert Publisher errors.mov Quote
Staff DWright Posted June 1, 2022 Staff Posted June 1, 2022 This is not a bug but rather a limitation of some fonts types that the hyphen/dash is not part of the superscript enabled characters in the font when enabling Superscript in the Typography Studio, If you use the Superscript option the Character Studio the we will emulate Superscript for all characters in the font as shown in the screenshot below. Gaunilo Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 Thanks but I think you replied to my other post (the second point)… but thanks anyway! Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The extra space has nothing to do with the small caps being applied. It is just Publisher being helpful by adding a space to the end of the word which was selected by double clicking. Try on some text that is not small caps. Then try without double clicking to select but Click and Drag or use the shift key to add to the selection. thomaso and walt.farrell 1 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. Well at least it is obviously not a bug but a programmed… feature? Whatever they were thinking. Thanks for clearing it up! Quote
