Gaunilo
I noticed two errors in text handling. The first: if you select a word, use small caps (Kapitälchen) and copy – paste the word, there is an additional space added when inserting. This is strange and I almost overlooked it. The second: Due to the still missing footnotes I have to do them by hand. I have to superscript (is that the correct expression?) the numbers by hand. If there is a dash between the numbers (1-2 or 1–2) the dash is not being superscripted (sounds wrong). Have a look at the short video I made. Would be nice to fix these errors. Thanks! (And please, hurry up with the footnotes/endnotes!) Herbert Publisher errors.mov

You're using the Typography settings. Those depend on the font to provide the support, and only works for those characters where the font provides a super- or subscript form. For other characters you would need to use the Positioning & Transform section of the Character panel instead. There's an option there (icon is S with a superscript and subscript) that will let you superscript or subscript anything. walt.farrell
You're welcome. For the other, I would suggest posting in the appropriate Publisher Bugs forum for your OS. Old Bruce
For me, I would use a Character Style for the numbers. Use the position and transform section and choose the Superscript there. Then apply that to the numbers. walt.farrell 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. Staff DWright Posted June 1, 2022 Staff Share Posted June 1, 2022 Some fonts do not support Superscript on the hyphen/dash symbol so when Superscript is enabled in Typography it is not applied to this symbol, using the superscript option in the character studio that @Old Bruce mentioned then we simulate the Superscript option for all of the symbols in the font character map this is the method that most word processors use when applying Superscript.
