Hello,

I’m still trying to change from photoshop to affinity photo but it is so difficult 😞

My next problem is…

When I select something on my photo, the affinity show me very nice selected thing. After I add mask, I have black surface with many white “disturbance”. How can I remove the disturbance? When I select only the white part, affinity select more as I want.

I hope You can help me!

Hi @kamcio,

How are you making the selection?  If with the Flood Selection tool, have you tried lowering the tolerance?  Also as this is a mask, you should in theory be able to paint over anything that shouldn't be present in the mask to remove it.

If you could attach your afphoto file that you should in your screen, that will help myself and others who see this post to give you some more advice :)

Hi @stokerg

thank You for Your reply.

First I have chosen the white background with the “mark colour” function. In the mask I have tried with “select area”. I have tried with tolerance but without success.

As attachment You find the file.

Merci,
kamil

Hi @kamcio,

Thanks for the file.

I can replicate the issue but i can't see why its happening.  As a quick workaround while i look into this, if you switch to the Selection Persona and tap on the Commands menu (looks like 3 dots ... in the top left of Affinity) and tap Selection From Layer, then only the object gets selected.
