eobet Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 1. Use the node tool 2. Select some nodes 3. Open the Select menu Result: Menu option says "invert pixel selection". Expected: Menu option should say "invert node selection". Bonus bug: You can't copy said nodes and paste them as a new object (you'll get the entire object instead). Quote
NotMyFault Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 You are mixing 2 topics which are treated individually / separately: The node tool works on curves and nodes the Selection menu works on pixel selections. if you want to select nodes, use the offered options (selecting by mouse and keyboard modifiers). The selection menu (working solely on pixel selections) has nothing to offer for node selections. Affinity may not follow your expectations. But this is no bug, you may add your vote to the feature request. 1 hour ago, eobet said: Bonus bug: You can't copy said nodes and paste them as a new object (you'll get the entire object instead). I don’t understand the last sentence. Do you want a new object or not? Besides those comments above, i see room for improvement, too in how Affinity handles node selections. AFAIK the Node tool mainly operates on whole curves, it allows to edit, add and delete nodes, but doesn't offer to copy/paste single or just selected nodes. Thus a copy/paste would always copy and paste the whole curve so far.
