CrayCrayArrano Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Hello everyone, I keep running into an issue and hoping somebody might be able to help. When working in Affinity Photo, when I try save a file it will suddenly say "the file appears to be corrupted and the program must now close". Is there anything I can do to recover these files?? I checked these forums, and there are a few posts with similar issues, however none of the fixes suggested seem to help. This has been happening more and more frequently lately, to a point where Affinity Photo is almost unusable... I tried re-installing the software, which did not help. It could have been a hardware issue, but it happened again when working on another desktop. I have also been using the internal harddrive, so that is definately not the issue. Any advice? Many thanks in advance, IS
CrayCrayArrano Posted May 27, 2022 Author Posted May 27, 2022 Hi there, and thank you for your reply. I am running Windows 10 Pro, and there are no cloud services involved with the folder - I made sure of it after reading the replies on similar threads about the issue. Kind of randomly? It happens only when I save the file, although I noticed it's more frequent with larger files, and is less common if I just do basic adjustments on the photo.
R C-R Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 How much free file space is there on the drive(s) you are saving to? All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps (currently 2.6.4); 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
RichardMH Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 If you upload one of the dead files someone should be able to look at it. Crash reports would probably also help them. Do you also run Capture One?
