SimonStripes
Hi. I have been a user of Affinity Designer and Photo for a few years now. Just today when I tried to open either program they just sit there, no response. I have uninstalled Designer and reinstalled, with the exact same result. Any ideas? I have used both programs within the last couple of weeks. I had put off updating to the latest versions for a while. It seems that since I did update to 1.10 I have had the problem. Nothing else has changed on my computer as far as I am aware. Running Widows 11 Pro. Thanks, Simon
Staff NathanC Posted May 26, 2022 Staff Share Posted May 26, 2022 Hi @SimonStripes welcome to the forums, I've split your post into a new topic as it is slightly different from what the original users problem is, just to avoid any confusion 🙂 Have you checked through the below thread to confirm no 3rd party apps which could be interfering are running? I would also suggest confirming you have the latest GPU drivers installed and go through with a re-installation of your drivers. If you're still having issues after going through the above, could you try manually disabling Hardware Acceleration in the apps and re-launching them after by following the below:
iconoclast
A spontaneous idea from me: yesterday was Update-Wednesday. Have there been any updates for Windows 11 that could have caused this problem? I'm still on Windows 10 and there was only a Net-Framework-Update, as far as I remember.
