Hi Roger,

Welcome to the Forums :)

Unfortunately it isn't possible to make text flow from column to column in Affinity Designer as it is more of a graphic design app. This is more likely to be a feature of Publisher.

It should be possible because graphic design apps were and are used to produce posters, advertisements etc.!

Trying to create a newsletter with three columns.

And now (3.5 years later) it is possible to use text flow from column to column because you can edit documents from Affinity Publisher in Affinity Designer.

I wouldn't use the wording "graphic design app". Technically all 3 Affinity apps are for graphic design, but specifically I would say that Designer is for vector artwork, Publisher for page layout like posters, ads, brochures etc. If I had to label one of the apps as a "graphic design app" I would say it's Publisher.

This thread is from 2015 Publisher hadn't even been conceived then. So out of the 2 apps we had at the time Photo and Designer I would describe designer as a graphic design app and Photo as a raster based photo editor.
