keematt Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I'm wondering if there's a feature to snap the symmetry tool on angles. I want to achieve a very symmetrical look, but I can't get it perfectly straight, always just a few millimeters off from perfect symmetry in the middle. Specifically, a feature where you can turn it matching a specific angle. MACE5cm 1
firstdefence Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 If you are using the Brush or Pixel tool, control over the lineation of both tools are very limited. You can use the Shift key to constrain the brush stroke to horizontal or vertical movement but it's buggy at best and will sometimes draw lines in other places. The only option for accurate angle control would be the Pen tool, this draws vector curves but doesn't have any automated symmetry properties. You can create curves with the Pen tool and use them as guides for symmetry drawing but it takes a bit of getting used to. iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... v_kyr Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 There are also some ADe mirror templates (Symbol usage based - Using Symbols) which you can try out (mostly) for x/y-axes based mirror drawing ...
