kat Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 Affinity Photo Paint Mixer Brush stops painting regularly. I've watched the youtube tutorials & this never happens. I use a wacom 6 with n, c & l set. This file is 6324 px x 5200px. Is there a file size limit problem? Quote Affinity Suite v2.6.3, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1 https://www.funkyhistory.com

Staff NathanC Posted May 25, 2022 Staff Posted May 25, 2022 Hi @kat, Auto Load Brush/Load Brush will load Colour 1 set within the colour panel each time you attempt to paint onto your canvas, I don't believe your file size will cause the issue. Could you try Unticking Auto Load Brush > Clean Brush > Try painting onto your currently selected layer https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_paintMixerBrush.html Quote
kat Posted May 25, 2022 Author Posted May 25, 2022 Really appreciate your taking the time to respond. Turning Auto Load Brush OFF & clicking Clean Brush "C". Should be able to drag thru paint, but can't. In the past I could get PMB to work for awhile then it would stop. This has been happening for years. I tried PMB in a tiny file — doesn't work. Can't find a "protecting pixels" in a brush or on layers that might be checked on & off. So for now I can only use regular brushes. Staff NathanC Posted May 25, 2022 Staff Posted May 25, 2022 Hi @kat, Do you have a sample file/video demonstrating the issue on your side? By default if a layer isn't selected assistant will create a new pixel layer which it won't mix on since there is no content however I doubt this is the issue you're experiencing. Quote
