Hi,

I'm in the process of editing a panorama and I'm having trouble removing the shadow streak from the walls. I tried to use the tool "inpainting brush tool" but it doesn't work well, it just rubs the shadow even more on the surface of the wall.

What is the best way to improve the quality so that the wall color is consistent over the entire surface of the wall?

Maybe you have a link to a video with instructions on how to properly fix it?

Thank you for your time to support me in this topic.

There are lots of ways to approach something like this, and some produce better results than others.

If it's consistency you're after then try replacing the entire wall area with a gradient overlay or layer. Take a sample from the wall (mid tone, no shadows or light) and produce a gradient from that with a slightly lighter or darker tone of the original shade/colour.

Mucking about with all the available tools with take ages and probably miff you off with the results you get. Just replace the whole thing - it's a lot quicker and eaiser.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

These are not my own words but I sure like this quote.

There are several ways to do that ...

  1. Making area selection and pick up an appropriate color for the Flood Fill Tool
  2. Using the PaintBrush Tool, pick up the right color and overdraw the shadows
  3. Picking up an Ok area and drawing/clicking over with the Healing Brush Tool
  4. Using the Patch Tool
  5. Using the Clone Tool
  6. ... etc.
