badvibrations
HI I'm using Publisher to create a book, but I've run into a couple of problems: 'Save' is often greyed out. I've read that this happens when your document is in the cloud, but mine is on my laptop, and it's still greyed out. When I first started using this program, it would sometimes crash when exporting to PDF. Now it crashes all the time, and I want to send my document to my book publisher, so this is pretty frustrating. I'm using the current version of Affinity Publisher (1.10.5) and my laptop is a MacBook Air (details in screengrab). Can you help? It's driving me bonkers. LondonSquirrel
You can enable PDF logging to see what is going on. See the instructions here: As for crashing all the time, is there any sort of error message on the screen - anything at all? These crashes, are they with one particular document? Can you upload a document which crashes? If you don't want to do so publicly you can request a private link and somebody from Affinity may be able to help you. Staff EmT Posted May 23, 2022 Staff Share Posted May 23, 2022 Hi @badvibrations Welcome to the Forum. As well as ensuring the document is saved to a local drive, can you check the PDF is not set to Read-Only or locked, or you are not opening it from a compressed folder. In regards to the crashing on export, does this only occur when exporting to PDF? Please could you attach your crash report, the link below will advise you of the file location. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/98904-where-to-find-crash-reports/&tab=comments#comment-529428 Quote How to format a bug report | List of V2 FAQ's | Affinity Photo (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Designer (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Publisher (V2) Tutorials
