badvibrations Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 (edited) HI I'm using Publisher to create a book, but I've run into a couple of problems: 'Save' is often greyed out. I've read that this happens when your document is in the cloud, but mine is on my laptop, and it's still greyed out. When I first started using this program, it would sometimes crash when exporting to PDF. Now it crashes all the time, and I want to send my document to my book publisher, so this is pretty frustrating. I'm using the current version of Affinity Publisher (1.10.5) and my laptop is a MacBook Air (details in screengrab). Can you help? It's driving me bonkers. Edited May 20, 2022 by badvibrations Quote
Staff EmT Posted May 23, 2022 Staff Posted May 23, 2022 Hi @badvibrations Welcome to the Forum. As well as ensuring the document is saved to a local drive, can you check the PDF is not set to Read-Only or locked, or you are not opening it from a compressed folder. In regards to the crashing on export, does this only occur when exporting to PDF? Please could you attach your crash report, the link below will advise you of the file location. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/98904-where-to-find-crash-reports/&tab=comments#comment-529428 Quote Contact Support | List of V2 FAQ's | Affinity Online Help | Affinity Video Tutorials | Beta Software Forums | Bug Reporting Guidance
