chrisdwells_
HI team, I've tried to find a post that covers this issue elsewhere but haven't been able to find one, despite there being quite a few mentions of EM Software's Wordsflow / Docsflow plugins from other forum members. I've tested Publisher and really enjoy the smoothness, fast UI and the approach to switching between Photo, Designer & Publisher which reflects how I work. So I'm now convinced that Affinity's suite of apps have something new to offer the professional design community if development can keep going. However, after speaking with Serif on Twitter, I'm making a request here that Serif consider developing a full API to allow third party plugins to be built. I'm a freelancer and I work predominantly with distributed editorial teams and clients using InDesign to publish all sorts of literature. Nowadays, my work is made possible by sharing clients' original MS Word source files on OneDrive. And we use Wordsflow from EM Software to live-link their MS Word docs to my artwork to create a relatively cheap editorial pipeline. It allows them to continue editing their source text while I work on design. It saves us so much budget and time I could no longer see myself living without it. I would really like to move away from Adobe at some point in the future and tools like Black Magic's Resolve and Affinity point the way to a new start for design software. I really hope Serif can keep innovating around professional publishing workflows and provide real competition to InDesign's place in the market. Cheers, Chris Wells

chrisdwells_
Aha, thanks, I do like that. Excellent news. It's exciting to hear this will be coming some time in the future, potentially better-implemented than Adobe's ecosystem. Thank you for linking to it. And apologies from me for not doing a broad enough search before I posted. GarryP
