Text is microscopic in a new document.

Pretty normal on an A0 document I would say. Just increase the font size.

Text is still not working properly. Notice 'Test' set to 144 pt. The text above it is set to 12 pt and it is barely visible.

What do you mean by ‘working properly’? The 144 pt text is twelve times as high as the 12 pt text, as you should expect.

Why is the document so large? How is it going to be used?

Looks about 1/12th the size, which is what it should be. Change "the text above it" to 144 point in size and then compare.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

@pcdlibrary, if you temporarily switch your document units from mm to points, you will see its dimensions are 2383.9 x 3370.4 pt, so of course 12 pt text is going to be very small in it because each of its characters uses just a tiny fraction of its almost 2384 pt width.

If working properly, 'Test' at 144 pt would be much larger, compared to the panel, which is shown for reference. Default is 12 pt; when I type some text, it is almost invisible. Same thing happened, maybe two years ago. I cannot find notes; you may have them.

The panel size depends on your display settings.

You still haven’t told us why you need an A0 canvas for this project.

Why do you think at 144 pt the text would be larger? Consider that if your document is over 2380 points wide, then even at 144 pt the word "Text" is not going to cover more than a tiny part of its width.

To put it another way, 144 pt is 50.8 mm. A landscape sheet of A0 paper is 1189 mm wide by 841 mm high.
