Vector /raster brush taper help

Hi, I’m new to Affinity Designer. Just a question regarding AD brushes. I have a new IPad (9th gen) with Apple Pencil 1st gen and sensitivity (width,taper etc) perfectly works on procreate and other apps but seems to be not working (the way I expected) in AD. It has some pressure but don’t tapers at all. Tried all settings on context menu (pressure etc). Please help! Thanks!

Hi @AJCreative and welcome to the forums

Changing the Pressure in Dynamics should make a big difference, I think (among other settings, like modifying Pencil’s Pressure in Preferences, etc)

Thank you for welcoming me! Thanks for the quick reply too. I've tried your suggestion and the brush seem to look better now. I'll try to explore more options too as you've suggested. 

BTW, I'm also trying to achieve/replicate the Wacom 6D art vector brush of AI in AD's Designer persona but it lacked the same taper and control I've mentioned. You have any idea or experience with this? Thanks again!
