Hi guys i am trying to make a label for a medicine and want there to be a metallic silver colouring. Is this something that is done from my end as the designer? Or is it done in the physical label making process?

I don't know of any process that can print metal onto a medium.

I think you want to print on metal-coated labels?

In order to let the shine of the metal shine through, the colours have to be applied with a lower opacity.

That would be a Spot Colour. Make a swatch palette and make a spot colour name something like Silver Ink. Then the actual printing press will have a fifth plate with that ink.

Similar to a spot colour ink is the use of a hot foil ( @Old Bruce would know the correct English term). – It can achieve a more metal look than ink. Different to a spot colour ink it requires vector objects in your Affinity document. In case of ink it's useful to print additionally a glossy varnish.
