Can Affinity Publisher import Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files?

Since I no longer have M/S Publisher, I need a way to access my .pub files and save them into another format that is compatible with other publishing software.  Can Affinity Publisher import Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files?

Short answer. No, Affinity Publisher can't open or import MS Publisher .pub Files.

Hi @tammyt1092003 There are various websites which will convert MS Publisher files to PDF files. These can then be opened with reasonable success into Affinity Publisher.

I have never tried it, as I don't have MS Publisher, but LibreOffice is supposed to have an Import Filter that handles MS Publisher files. If it works for you, you could then Save the file as a .docx, and use that with Affinity Publisher.

Hi and welcome.

Not at all. Files from V2 are not downward compatible. The reason is due to the fact that V2 handles some functions differently.

You can export as pdf to open it with V1.
