Hi,

I’m new to affinity. My sister asked me to design a logo. It is my first time and I did it in Procreate. Then I remembered something about vector. So thought I do it in affinity designer but I don’t have the same brushes. I really have no clue how to make this in affinity. I used mask in procreate to “erase” the lines underneath the text. I can’t find mask in affinity and also I can’t find the eraser when I’m in vector. I also used clipping mask to give the lines the colour and texture. I’ve used an dynamic ink brush. I can’t seem to find any vector brushes with the same kind of texture. And I’ve used an overlay brush for blending the colours.

I’m also not familiar with this forum so I hope I’ve posted this in the right place.

I really would appreciate it if anyone can give me some advice how I can do this, and especially if it is possible.

 Thanks in advance!

Hi @H0AXon,

We do not have a watercolour brushes included in the app that you have used in the example but if you can find a similar bush online that is in the .abr file format you can import this into Affinity Photo, for the distressed background for the text you can use one of the Dry media brushes to make this effect.

But when I do this in affinity Photo it will not be vector right? Or can I import it back to affinity designer? If that is the case then I can import this logo from Procreate to affinity designer and then I only have to replace the tekst. Or is this not how it works?
