Hi @Barkley42,

I would suggest running the .NET framework repair tool and going through a complete removal of your existing version of Designer/Photo via the Uninstall Troubleshooter by following the below:

.NET Repair Tool

  1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30135 and download the repair tool
  2. Follow the Repair Tool wizard through to resolve any existing issues.
  3. Once completed, reboot your PC.

Uninstalling Via Troubleshooter

  1. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d and download the Troubleshooter
  2. Select 'Uninstall' and Select Designer/Photo and follow the troubleshooter wizard through.
  3. After removing both programs, reboot your PC.
  4. Download and install the latest versions from https://store.serif.com/en-gb/account/downloads/ and see if this resolves the issue.

If you're still having trouble, could you confirm at what point the crash occurs, does it crash on the splash screen?

Hi @Barkley42,

Has Hardware Acceleration re-enabled itself since the reinstallation? I would advise unchecking this if it isn't already under Preferences > Performance to see if this makes an improvement.

I've not got any clear indications to what the issue might be from the crash report so far, is this something you're able to re-create using a specific workflow?

I have recreated it multiple times since the release of 1.10.0.  I have never been able to run any version greater than 1.9.2 which runs great (no crashes).    It doesn't really seem to matter what I am doing with the software but it only crashes after the editing.  My drivers are current.  My computer has enough memory.

Device name    DESKTOP
Processor    11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900 @ 2.50GHz   2.50 GHz
Installed RAM    32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch    No pen or touch input is available for this display

Edition    Windows 10 Pro

Installed on    ‎8/‎7/‎2021
OS build    19044.1706

I have a second computer (laptop) with the same scenario.  I just am focusing on fixing one then can address the laptop.
