BlackGuardPrez Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I have 2 Text Frames that are surrounded by X's instead of circles when I click them. This means I cannot resize or reshape them. I am also not able to delete or move them. I also can't make any changes to them using the Text Frame Studio. I can alter the text inside of them. They were created by copying and pasting another frame. The original frame can be moved and resized and I have made other copies of the original frame that work as normal. In another thread it was suggested that they might be on the master page but that is not the case and they only show up on one page of the document - page 8. Please see the below screenshot. I've also attached the document. BGPCharacterOps.afpub BGPCharacterOps.afpub Quote
joe_l Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 If you look at the Layers panel, you will see that the boxes are on page Master A. To delete the frames click Master A in the Layers panel and pick Detached from the top context toolbar. Delete the boxes and click Finish. They are not directly on the Master Page. However, you have put them inside the Master Page layer, perhaps by dragging them into the Text Frame that is on the Master Page. As @joe_l mentioned, you can see that in the Layers panel (though not in the screenshot you provided): In this one, you can see that it is a child of the Master A layer, even though it does not have the orange highlighting the other children have.
