banke Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Hello everyone! I am currently working with Designer: I was wondering if there is a way to create a kind of custom curved grid or morph a vector object (or even better a group of them) to a curved grid. I imagine the Photo liquify persona would work, but I assume that would rasterize my vectors, right? Also I would just think it easier if I didn't have to change apps. Sorry if the question exists already. When it comes down to online tutorials I only find those with "straight" grids. Thanks ahead! Quote
GarryP Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Welcome to the forums @banke There are currently no vector warping (perspective/mesh/etc.) functionalities in Designer (or the other Affinity applications). Try searching the forums for vector warp to get various suggestions on ‘workarounds’ and other applications which you can try. banke 1 Quote

GarryP Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 You’re welcome. Doing a text search for something you don’t know the name of can be quite difficult. There are other names for it but searching for vector warp will probably get you the answers you need. If you have specific requirements (rather than ‘curved grid’ in general) then you can give us a visual example – with some notes about what’s important and what’s not – and someone may be able to give you something usable, or explain how to make one. For example, I quickly made the attached example (document included) from some crescents and some lines. quick-curved-grid.afdesign Quote
