Hi!

I can't exapnd the brush strokes which are already as vector brush set.

Mainly When I'm drawing an illustration as Watercolor/oil Paint. I can't export those as vector files. When opening with illustrator all shows raster.

NOTE: at the time of saving file I already selected - Resterize - Nothing

some example designs. How I can export this type of arts as Vector? As I tried several times and failed to export as VECTOR.

Hi @XPERTDESIGNER welcome to the forums,

As mentioned in my email, while this brush pack is vector within Designer (as represented by the curves layer), because it is a textured brush stroke along a vector path it cannot be expanded and has to be rasterised when exporting to vector based formats, such as .EPS or SVG.

Essentially, the brush is a raster image/texture stretched along a vector path which is why it appears solid when exported out when it is exported out with nothing rasterised.

So can you please tell me some brush set name that I can export my artworks as Vector?

In principle, it is only one single brush: the basic round brush. You create a fresh “new solid brush” one. Only variance is size, color, transparency.

I know this might be disappointing to read, but currently it is not possible to export vector documents using “vector image / intensity brushes”. No export formats supports the required data model.

So the limitation is not simply a “forgotten” function, but a principle restriction based on the constraints of the file formats.

In theory, it would be possible to create an export using many (really many) smaller vector objects, who represent the visual appearance of your document, but every curve would be partitioned into fragments to achieve the color and transparence gradients, and detailed shape of the brush,. This would actually break the ability to edit the vectors. In reality, no such function exists today.

Some CAD apps export PDF documents containing 2D areas created out of thousands lines with a small stroke. This method has only historic relevance (when pen plotters where used, and you needed to create areas line by line with a small overlap), but kills rendering performance.
