Hi People.   Once I have created a small file I need to save it as a Jpeg or Bitmap file.   When I ask to save the only option I have is "affinity file"

How do I change file settings?

Welcome to the forums @Ray3127

Your question would have been better asked in the appropriate “Questions” section of the forums rather than the “Customer Service” section as the “Customer Service” section is for people asking about problems with purchasing, installation, and things like that, rather than questions about using the software.
A moderator will probably move this thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate this elsewhere.

You can only save to Affinity document formats unless you originally opened an image format file.
If you want to create an image format file (JPEG, PNG, etc.) from an Affinity document then you need to use menu “File → Export” or the Export Persona (if the application has one).

Generally, use Save to keep all of your Affinity document layers and settings intact, use Export when you want to pass the file to somewhere else.
