Hi,

My Publisher file is getting this message when I try to open it. Unfortunately, I was working it on it through a server and didn't create another backup. I do plan to create backups on my desktop from now on.

Can my file be recovered?

Thanks!

Hi @mimi3and Welcome to the Forums,

I've tried the tricks i know to recover the file and they have failed and looking at the file in a Hex editor and has a large number of zeros at the very start of the file and some more towards the end.  I will log the file with the Developers to see if they can recover anything from it, but from experience, i doubt they will be able to.

If i can get some more information to add the to log, that would be great.  Which operating system are you running Affinity?  You mention this was stored on a server, was that a Cloud drive or a network server, just so i'm clear :)

Hi Stokerg,

Thank you so much for trying.

I'm running Affinity on a macOS Montery, version 12.1, M1 chip

I back-up/work through PCloud.

Thanks!
