bkurkjian Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Howdy all! I just purchased this product as an alternative to Illustrator, and at the moment, I'm a but frustrated. I've downloaded a few EPS files from freepik.com and they're coming in distorted and they're not showing that they have layers. Any ideas why? See attached image for reference. Quote
Dan C Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Hi @bkurkjian, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Please see the below thread where I have recently covered this: I hope this clears things up! Quote
bkurkjian Posted May 9, 2022 Author Posted May 9, 2022 So, the product is basically useless w/ these files? If so, I'll be asking for my money back and going back to Ai. How disappointing. Quote
Dan C Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Unfortunately these 'EPS' files are not true 'EPS' files - which is why Affinity is unable to open them as Illustrator can. Many Stock websites will provide these files in other formats, but if the EPS files are required and thus the Affinity software isn't quite right for your workflow, then please email affinityreturns@serif.com and our team can action this for you.
