The program (Publisher) always closes by itself

When I'm opening a document in Publisher, the program shuts down.. 

What could cause this issue?

If you could provide the info London Squirrel has asked for we should be able to help you further with this. Please could you also tell me if you have hardware acceleration enabled in the apps preferences under performance and if possible provide a copy of the latest crash report found by following the below guide?
