Tinytine Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Hi there, okay I think this is really difficult to explain but I‘ll try anyway. In my design I created a little fantasy girl with two arms that I want to use in other designs as well. Now, what I want to do is give those arms an exact length, no matter how the girl moves them. The thing is, these arms are, just like the rest of the figure, made of rubber, meaning the girl has no skeleton with joints or anything, she can move the arms freely. So, when the girl holds something in front of her, I want those arms to be the exact same length as they are when they‘re dangling on each side of her body and not elongate just because the curve is stronger. Since I’m just starting with Affinity I hope someone can help me. Thanks for any help or suggestion. Quote
NotMyFault Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 If your design is 2D based, simply add an circle as guide and use snapping options, or use it as mask applied to the arms, so you will be able to visually inspect if the arms get too long. If your design is 3D based, it gets more complicated. walt.farrell Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 I think it would help us if you showed us the two poses you've mentioned, so we can see what you're working with.
