Option-clicking, double-clicking, whatever in a dialog box to reset it.

For example, you play with a slider in the Channel Mixer and don't like the result. Having to type in 0 and hit Return is not as bad as getting smacked in the face, but this would be a good addition.

Thanks.

Not on my machine it isn't, at least not in any of the Adjustment panels. Double-clicking selects the number so you can then type over it, but it doesn't reset it.

Double-click on the slider control node.

Nope. Not here.

I'd be happy to post a screen capture showing that what Hens did simply doesn't happen.

But I see you guys are both using Windows. Since it's working for you, this should be a bug report rather than a feature request.

Pretty sure it's been working on Mac, too. If wait to see what other Mac users say.

What kind of mouse are you using?

An Apple Magic Mouse

If I remember correctly what I've read, I think that may be sensitive to very tiny movements, and perhaps your double-click isn't registering if you moved the mouse slightly between clicks? The target is rather small.

No, I tried it with the screen zoomed way in to make sure. There are some flipped bits somewhere.

If this was a problem, as Walt writes about it, it would depend on the movement (motion detection) of the mouse itself, not in the context of what and how large is currently displayed on the screen.

Try hovering your mouse over the slider thumb, lifting the mouse into the air so it can't detect any movement, and then double-clicking the left button.

An Apple Magic Mouse, the best one ever made.

The best Apple Mouse is going to be a steaming piece of [expletive deleted]. I have used many many of their mouses and none of them was any good. Not even as a paper weight. Their track pad however is a joy to use.

As Walt and Pšenda have pointed out the slightest movement of the mouse will defeat the double click.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Seriously? Are you really going to try and tell me how to use a f-ing mouse?!

What is it with this forum?

I appreciate your showing me that the feature is supposed to work, but WTF?!

Please go home. This is getting annoying.

Okay, update: it does work in the Brightness/Contrast panel but not in the Channel Mixer.

Please, this is for the Affinity gods to note, not because I need someone to mansplain me how to pee straight or use a mouse!

Quite right, good catch. That is a bug with the Channel Mixer. Needs to be fixed.
